Nicolas este locul de unde se pleaca spre Grotele Albastre situate in nordul insulei cunoscute datorita apei de culoare azurie. Varful impadurit Strani, insulele nelocuite Strofadia, plajele Laganas, Kalamaki, Tsivili,Makri Gialos sau Porto Zoro sunt alte alte obiective ce nu trebuie ratate.

Kefalonia este cea mai mare insula dintre cele ionice si este recunoscuta pentru  relieful muntos presarat de rauri, grote si multe paduri, plajele Myrtos  situata in nordul capitalei Argostoli si Antisamos situata la 22 de km de capitala, Emblisi la vest de statiunea Fiskardo sau Petani in vestul peninsulei Lixouri. In partea locuita a insulei se gasesc mici asezari si sate pitoresti, cel mai cunoscut fiind Fiscardo datorita cladirilor in stil neoclasic. Tot aici se afla una dintre cele mai spectaculoase pesteri din Europa, Pestera Melissani unde se afla un lac subteran de un albastru intens.

Distractia este garantata,  ca de altfel peste tot in Grecia, de numarul impresionant de hoteluri, restaurante, cafenele, taverne si discoteci care atrag in fiecare vara zeci de mii de turisti.
