Alesund is a commercial city and busiest port in western Norway settled on the islands Nørvøy, Aspøy and Hesse, at a great distance from the edges of rocky islands.
It is the main fishing port of Norway, fish processing plants, shipyards and factories of garments.

Alesund este un oras comercial si un port aglomerat din vestul Norvegiei, asezat pe insulele Nørvøy, Aspøy si Hessa,  la o  distanta mare de marginile insulelor stancoase.
Este principalul port de pescuit al Norvegiei, cu fabrici de procesare a pestelui, santiere navale si fabrici de confectii.
